  PMS is one of the most difficult phase that every girl has to bear every month. PMS comes with lots of pain, anxiety, cramps, acnes and discomfort. I  remember when my mom told me about periods she only mentioned that there are 3-4 days on which you'll bleed and have cramps. I was told the same by everyone around me. No one told me about PMS, the pain and sufferings along with it. I'm sure you also experienced it yourself with time. Every problem has a solution. I believe there is no better solution than doing yoga for any health disorder or a disease. Yoga and exercises at home have helped me to reduce period pain and ofcourse the cruel premenstrual symptoms too. PMS is not much prevalent in younger teens. The symptoms start showing up in older teens and early 20s of a girl. If not looked upon the hormonal changes occuring every month the symptoms worsens with age and the women in their 40s experiences the worst of the worsts PMS. YOGA undoubtedly has very effective results

Acne experience by 15 years old me

Frankly speaking, 15 years old I didn’t even know the reason for the little monsters on my face. I was tensed and it literally upsets me seeing my acne prone face in the mirror. Teenage is the age where you get judged for your looks by the people around you.

     As a result you get more concerned about your appearance and if you fail to look pretty, you start to lose your confidence.
This all happened to 15-18 years old me.
I didn’t even know what was wrong with my skin and just started applying random cosmetics, over the counter medicaments and even dipped my face into ice cold water which just gave me cold and eventually everything failed for me.
Since my teenage, I have been keeping records for all the remedies that had worked magically for me. I have searched, read, understood and then started treating my acne by my own when I turned 20.
I will be sharing my remedies with you guys but simply jumping over to the remedies have not worked 100% for anyone so I want you guys to first go through the causes of acne so that you can manage your acne better.

Causes of Acne                                  
  •   Fluctuation of hormones: Once you enter the puberty phase, you will experience fluctuation in your hormones. Your main enemy hormone is androgen. Androgens such as testosterone are the male hormones but are found in females as well. Let me explain you clearly. Rise in testosterone levels in body results in: 
·       Increase in sebum production
·       Higher inflammation
·       Changes in skin cells activity
· Greater colonization of the hair follicle by bacteria (propionibacterium acnes)

This is how your skin turns oily and bacteria stick to your face giving you acnes.

  • Pollution: Another yet prominent cause of acne for people living in cities. Pollution and dust on your face, if not cleaned and not looked upon, serve as a home for bacteria in your skin pores which results in acne. 
          Pollution make your skin looks dull. Pollution is also the reason for ageing of skin as the skin cells gets affected badly due to it.

  • Stress: Hmmm!… stress has become a common problem among the young generation. Yes, I agree life is full of problems but how you deal with the problems is the only solution. A very famous quote, “when life gives you lemons, squeeze them to make lemonade.”

       Let’s now focus on how stress leads to acne.

Chronic stress increases levels of stress-related hormones such as cortisol and sends skin's sebaceous (oil) glands into overdrive, which mixes with dead skin cells and breakout-causing bacteria.
There are several other reasons for getting acnes but these three are the prominent and are most common reason for about 70-80% of the people. I started analyzing my acne problems when I turned 20 which helped me a lot to find several natural solutions that actually work. 
Here are some of them:

Spearmint tea- spearmint is the most helpful remedy that helped me a lot to lower down my androgen levels. It is the best natural anti-androgen that works so efficiently.
It took me 4 months to identify that it is actually showing results. I discovered that I was suffering from hirsutism and started having 2 cups of spearmint tea in a day which specifically lowered down my chin hair growth and also worked for my acne which was a surprise for me.

Rather than taking anti-androgen medications, which are basically steroids and can cause toxicity or side effects, why not to shift on natural herbal remedies? Spearmint is similar to peppermint but have significantly lower level of menthol in it. 
you can grab a pack of spearmint tea online very easily or you can make it at home. 
1. Boil a cup of water.
2. Remove the vessel from heat.
3. Add some spearmint leaves and allow it to infuse.
4. Strain it and sip on your spearmint tea.

   Rosewater- I just dipped a cotton ball in rose water and apply it on my face every night before going to bed. 
Trust me the next day you will feel so soft and the acne will get lighter on a regular use.

Skipping- I am literally addicted to skipping since my childhood. I remember when I was a kid; I used to skip more than 100 times so smoothly. But as I aged, it became somewhat difficult to skip that much. Since nothing is impossible, I started skipping when I was 20. It helped me in clearing my skin so effectively.

The reason was increase in blood circulation. Skipping allows you to jump and your whole body is involved including your hands. It’s the best cardio one can do.

Meditation- Thinking of my dream place and chilling there while closing my eyes is a next level type of vibe. I enjoy meditating at least 30-45 minutes daily. I learnt the importance of meditating when I got so angry over small issues and was advised to meditate.

I started for a reason and ended enjoying my meditation  sessions. It gives me so much pleasure to think about myself, to look upon my breath and to visualize a place where there is calm. Meditation helps to lower down your increased hormonal levels and stress too. It keeps your mind light and helps to improve your concentration power.

Drinking water- I just increased my water intake and I was just shocked with the results. It eventually helped me to give a farewell to all the little monsters on my face. Hahaha!

Drinking water is a tip that everyone can give you but I would suggest you to just squeeze one lemon in your water and drink it every hour.
Take a water bottle and add 2-3 slices of lemon into it and you are good to go. Carry this water bottle with yourself where ever you go. Also drinking a cup of hot lemon water with honey early morning will give you a flawless skin in just less than a month or 2.

Wash your face twice- To get rid of the daily dust and pollution, you should wash your face twice or even more than that daily.
Get a good scrub that helps to clean all the pores and allow your skin to breathe. never go to bed with makeup on. also applying rose water will do magic to your skin.
